David Clarno, President – David has 25 years of experience at the Mount Shasta Ski Park as a supervisor and instructor overseeing its ski and snowboard learning center including its adaptive program. He holds a PSIA certification in visually impaired ski instruction. He has 12 years of experience in Early Childhood Education which includes work with children with disabilities. He is currently a restaurant and microbrewery owner and is a board member of the Dunsmuir Chamber of Commerce.
Merle Anderson, Vice President – Merle assists with grant writing and fundraising. He is a land use and community development consultant with a 30-year background in planning and resource management. Merle has lived in Siskiyou County since 1994 and, as a member of the Mount Shasta Rotary Club, is a liaison for that club's support of the SDS program including the annual two-day Klamath River raft and camping trip.
Donna Boyd, Secretary – Donna has been working as an outdoor professional, guiding and instructing, for over 20 years. She holds certifications in ski instruction, adaptive ski instruction, wilderness medicine, and river rescue, and she has served as an outdoor educator in each of these areas. She also brings her experience as a former small business owner and a masters degree in Nonprofit Leadership Development to her work with SDS.
Aaron Beverly, Treasurer - Aaron is a seven year resident of the Mount Shasta area. In the summer, he works as a river guide and mountain guide for two local outfitters and in the winter, as a ski patroller and instructor at the Mount Shasta Ski Park. He holds a masters degree in electrical engineering from the University of Kansas and has 10 years of experience working as a software engineer. He brings a diverse set of skills and knowledge to SDS.
Didier Monath – Didier is a co-founder and key contributing volunteer and board member of SDS. He works for a local non-profit Great Northern that provides weatherization services to low-income residents. Didier has volunteered extensive time with persons with disabilities. He regularly volunteers with the Siskiyou Art Council teaching art to children with learning disabilities. He was a cook and mentor for mentally disabled residents at Michael’s Home in Ramona, CA. He is a former adaptive ski instructor and holds his PSIA Level 1 in Alpine Ski Instruction. Didier’s energy and fun personality makes all of SDS’ events a unique experience for participants.
David Cressman – David is a long time resident of Mount Shasta. He owns SWS Mountain Guides and has been a backcountry guide for 15 years. At the Mount Shasta Ski Park, he has worked as a ski patroller and instructor. He serves on the board the Mount Shasta Avalanche Center and is member of the Mount Shasta Chamber of Commerce.
